Imagine that people didn't know that winning lottery tickets were drawn at random. Imagine that people thought there was a pattern, based on what numbers you asked for and what month it was, and what world and local circumstances there were when the lottery took place.
And so groups would get together to discuss how to better choose the right numbers.
And they would have rich lottery winners come to speak at their meetings, explaining (for a large speaking fee, of course) how they picked their numbers, with their theory of how winning numbers are actually picked.
People who had tried and failed would come to these meetings and take a lot of notes. And as they failed to win in the next lottery, they would wonder why they are screwing up so badly.
They would ask them selves, as Dennis has told us he asks himself, "Why does that guy have a multimillion dollar business? He's no smarter than I am, and he doesn't seem to work any harder."
This could explain why Dennis sees what he sees.
I think there is a huge random factor that applies even to people who are doing everything just right to start and grow a successful business.
But if you only focus on the "winners", you won't see the 80% who did it right and still failed to gain business traction.
Not to mention the 100% who did it poorly and of course failed to make it as a business.
