I just got booted by Google Adwords. This after many years, and probably 50K spent there (not really all that much, I know somebody who spends that each
month). Unceremoniously dumped, for having "poor quality landing pages". Wow. Initial reaction, kick in the gut. But upon further reflection,
it's probably a good thing. I *may* take a short term hit, but to smooth over the short term issues, I'll double or triple down on Yahoo! and MSN
ads, and get busy with the SEO stuff (damn, didn't do enough of that). Truth be told, I was already priced out of US advertising on Google. Just
couldn't stand toe to toe with my competitors and spend with them.
Plus, I was beginning to throttle back on Google spending anyways, getting a lot of low quality traffic, and paying for it. I was keeping a content ad open, and it was costing me, but I was getting download conversions. So Google actually enforced what I was putting off, that is doing other marketing. Thinking out loud.....my business is a pain in the arse. It's an evolution on the previous few bizzes I've had, but not quite there. It's making money, but it's too difficult. I need to take one more evolutionary step forward. This was one ball busting month for me. These are the times that it sux to be an "entrepreneaur"
