I'm getting the following vibe:

It was an inside operation because -

* The Secret Service director looks like she's absolutely terrified when she is confronted in public about the event. IMO this looks like she and her entire family will be killed if she speaks up, and she has no plausible excuses, even gross incompetency, for the shooting. This isn't someone nervous about losing their job or being disciplined or even sued, this is someone who thinks her life is in danger. She's probably being told to make public appearances to keep up the facade but she's cracking under the stress.

* Thomas Crooks (the presumed shooter) supposedly almost shot at a local cop who had tracked him to the roof. This is not boldness exactly IMO. It sounds insane unless you accept that Crooks was acting under directions. I believe Crooks was instructed that he could have a big $$$$ payoff by play-acting as a shooter, and that he'd be protected - the secret service and local cops would not kill him no matter what. He was purely a patsy, maybe not even that good a shot. Of course they killed him anyway so he could not be interrogated. His role was entirely to do "cosplay" of an assassin so that the media would be misdirected.

* The water tower guy has not been noted officially as Secret Service or anything else. IMO that may have been the real shooter.

* Some secret service were observed and recorded chasing audience members away from Trump's podium a few seconds before the shots were fired. (Like they were trying to protect a few normies or something).

* Too many direct, violent references have been made by individuals such as Chuck Schumer toward Trump in the past and as Jo noted in a recent TV interview with Biden.

One other thing. A pundit I watched in a video noted that only in the USA do we have the consistent narrative of a "lone gunman" and that no group was involved. In EVERY OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH assassinations are never spoken of that way - it's always assumed in other country's media that an assassination was a group project. This goes back to John Wilkes Booth.

I suspect that when Trump gets sworn in, the passports of virtually all deep state and Democrat high level people will be frozen and there will be mass arrests. There will be arrests and probably executions.

House cleaning will likely be Job #1, the first thing he has to do. Followed by action on illegal immigration.

I hope the interrogations are like "24" where Kiefer Sutherland liked using things like cigar cutters on fingers. I suspect that Trump may have to call in military to expedite detainments and arrests.
