If you remember individuals such as "Bingo Card Guy" from the old JoS forum, this is interesting. As expected, the ISV rage of geeks in 2011 has long ended.

The "Association of Shareware Professionals", or ASP:

The ASP Historical Archive

https://asp-software.org/

After nearly 34 years of support by and for Independent Software Vendors, the membership voted to dissolve the ASP. The association stopped accepting new members in mid-2020, and formally ceased operations on December 31, 2021.

Their yearly conference was absorbed into something called ISVCon. I find nothing current about it.

I went to one of their conferences once, in 2010. Totally a fish out of water experience.

This mISV stuff was pounded so hard on the old JoS forums. It's dust today.
